Prosthetics / Accessories
An ambitious project which has just taken off is the donation of Prosthetics and various other accessories and aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, breast implants, wigs etc. Within a short span, this initiative has gathered momentum. Collaborations with strategic partners such as Ottobock and Ratna Nidhi Foundation for artificial limbs; Tynor for silicon breast implants and Ugenics for wigs has enabled KCF to seamlessly integrate the demand and supply line of this vertical.
Ashray Grah
This is a home away from home for out-station patients and their families. Staying away from their abode for long duration can have a tiring impact on anyone. As there is no telling how long the treatment and remission will take, KCF arranges and provides comfortable, hygienic and child friendly accommodation to outstation patients and their accompanying caregivers for the duration of their stay in Mumbai.
Knowledge Repository
A ready reckoner; “The Right Help at the Right Time” which doubles up as a handbook for patients and all stakeholders in the care giving community. We have researched, collected, analyzed and verified the data from a variety of sources. This has been compiled and catalogued into information useful to all patients in the form of a Directory. It enumerates information on: Accommodation NGOs and Trusts Dormitories/ Gurudwaras /Private Lodges Diagnostic Centers /Hospitals Blood Banks Volunteers /Donors /Facilitators
Grocery Donations
As an act of goodwill and in tandem with its integrator platform, KCF has initiated a program of taking care of the grocery/housekeeping requirements of the Shelter Homes for cancer patients. It acts as the facilitator to connect the KCF benefactors and the NGOs who provide accommodation to cancer patients.
Regional Contact Centre
As a transit point which can connect the outstation patients with Head Office, KCF has collaborated with the Rotary Club in Bhubaneshwar (Cancer Screening and Care Trust)to provide an efficient Help Desk for patients. This Centre will work to bridge the gap and dispense essential information regarding treatment in TMH to patients & their kin before they start for Mumbai, follow up with the patients and also help them get second opinion on the course of treatment from doctors.
